Mr. John was pleased to provide the temporary restrooms for all the rest stops along the NYC Avon Walk for Breast Cancer route on October 10th and 11th 2009. 

The walks occur throughout the United States, however this year the New York Walk for Breast Cancer has been the most successful yet, raising over 9.5 million dollars for breast cancer research and care.  Over 4,000 people took part in the fund raising event which consisted of a non competitive two day walk throughout the greater NYC area.

In total, 442 restrooms, both standard portable toilets and ADA approved restrooms, were needed at rest areas throughout the city for the two day event.  With twenty or so different rest stops requiring anywhere from 15 to 40 portable restrooms at a time over two days, the operation was delicate.  Units had to be delivered and removed at specific times while maneuvering through the city and adhering to strict guidelines set forth by local ordinances and authorities.

Mr. John was able to satisfy the needs of this event as well as continue to service all existing customers throughout the weekend.  Expert logistics personnel handled the careful planning of the event and skilled technicians were able to carry out the placement, service and removal of units as well as overcome any challenges encountered. 

Once again, Mr. John was honored to work behind the scenes to provide comfort for those contributing to such an important cause.
