Mr. John at the World Trade Center Disaster
On the morning of September 11th 2001, a Mr. John Service Technician just finished servicing the portable restrooms at the World Trade Center when the unthinkable happened. The clear blue sky was soon obscured by a plume of smoke and the events that followed resulted in the worst disaster in our country’s history.
As the horrific events shattered our sense of peace and security, they also strengthened our resolve to move forward in the face of tragedy. Move forward we did, with courage and determination as is the trademark of the American spirit. Thousands of rescue teams, disaster recovery personnel, Red Cross and other relief workers were immediately deployed to the scene.
Along with an operation of this size comes sanitation requirements. Mr. John began delivering portable restrooms on September 12, 2001 for emergency and other personnel. In total, we delivered and provided regular service for over 900 portable toilets while continuing to provide service to all regular and existing customers.
The Mr. John Company received a great deal of recognition for this work. Though very grateful for the acclimation, every employee is thankful for being able to provide relief to the thousands of individuals working to alleviate the aftermath.
